Get to Know Me

I am passionate about mental health

I’m Mario, and I offer online support to adults navigating emotional, personal, and existential challenges. You might say I’m a bit of a hybrid, part science geek, part meaning-seeker. After years of teaching science and working in medicinal chemistry labs (yes, I have a PhD in chemistry!), I eventually followed the call into the world of emotional wellbeing. That journey began with my own healing and gradually led me into in-depth training in psychotherapy and human development.

I hold a postgraduate diploma in psychotherapy (Transactional Analysis from an integrative perspective) and spent 4 years immersed in therapeutic training in the UK. I'm currently pursuing the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP), which will enable me to offer psychotherapy within the Spanish legal framework, which is very different from that of the UK, thus allowing me to practice as a psychotherapist. In the meantime, I continue to support individuals in emotional wellbeing and personal development through a relational and holistic approach.

I bring the depth and richness of that experience into my current role in a different, but equally meaningful way, as a guide, a sounding board, and a thoughtful companion on your journey toward a more fulfilling life.

I offer professional, ethical, and confidential support that honours your emotional world while respecting the boundaries of the legal context I work within.

My practice is shaped by a broad toolkit, blending psychological insights, mind-body awareness, and experiential techniques tailored to your unique journey.

Lately, I’ve also been expanding my skills through training in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) coaching. That said, my style isn’t about scripted text, formulas or pep talks. It’s thoughtful, intuitive, and rooted in real human connection.

Our sessions are primarily in English, but I’m also happy to welcome moments of Spanish, Lithuanian, or Russian if that helps you feel more comfortable expressing yourself at times. You don’t need to have the perfect words, we’ll find our rhythm together.

I divide my time between the UK and Spain, and my work is completely online, allowing for flexibility and connections across borders.

Outside of work, I’m a nature lover. You’ll often find me wandering woodland trails, tending to my garden, or tucked away in a quiet café with a notebook. More recently, I’ve found myself drawn to poetry, a gentle way to make sense of things and give voice to the whispers of the heart.
